There is a very simple reason why great leaders and companies can inspire people and customers to take action.
It can be codified into a very simple formula referred to as the "Golden Circle". From the inside working out great companies and leaders approach what they do in a completely opposite manner to most of their competitors and this is usually reflected in their results and ability to influence others. This video has just made my day. A thought came to my mind that people came to hear Luther King because his courage gave them the right to believe in their own courage, and also to hear their own rejected thoughts.
